Yeah, I guess we'll find out...

I was trying to put together a big informational seminar with Phil Querin, but PMAR told him to hold off until they got some things straightened out in regards to that rule specifically. So, I wonder what they were "straightening out"?

Should be interesting to see...

Take care,
Jeff

Jeff -

Good catch, I had forgotten.

I wonder how it will be enforced...we've talked about whether there will be 'font police' checking x-heights and baselines (typography talk) on signs, business cards, websites, ads, and more.

You're right, there are a lot of 'teams' out there that have minimized their broker's branding and replaced it with their own mark.

Lots O' changes!

Don't forget about the new changes to advertising rules. Namely the amendment about typesize.

"Effective March 1, 2008, if the name of an associated broker is used in advertising, it may not be in larger type size than the name of the firm. The purpose of this amendment is to provide appropriate disclosure to the public."

I think that's going to cost a lot of people some money having to redesign their logos/biz cards/websites etc...

I have to laugh when the very first line in the purpose of the rule is: "Allows real estate licensees to advertise in a less costly manner". Not too sure how that works...
