I think there are some great opportunities in geographic RE blogging and niche-blogging. Some ideas:

* architecture-specific: bungalow, old-pdx, modern
* investor properties or fixers
* relocation
* condo

and so on…

At first I thought you might be bashing the arrival of a new blog which I thought was out of character but then as I read I saw you were be self-effacing. There should be more localized blogs to help buyers learn about a specific area.
